Eddy is interested in transformation & transfiguration, the soft dark feminine hollows where life begins, and the beautiful yet violent duality of nature. Her medium of creating maximalist installations and murals on larger-than-life gowns mimics a bride’s finery in mechanism: you are in one state of being when you step into the gown and metamorphosed when you step out of it. Eddy was part of the creation of the Every Woman Biennial (formerly the Whitney Houston Biennial) & has had solo shows with Superchief Gallery, La Mama Galleria, and Pushpin Gallery at Lincoln Center. She has a B.A. in Anthropology and a B.A. in Photography from Fordham University. She splits her time between studios in the Poconos and Brooklyn.
